En 2011, Paul Foisy, chercheur en histoire du sport et membre du Centre d'histoire de Saint-Hyacinthe, publiait son premier cahier d'histoire Sport et Société. Ce premier document avait pour sujet les 100 ans de hockey à Saint-Hyacinthe.
Les archives du Centre d'histoire ont été consultées pour la réalisation de cet ouvrage abondamment illustré de photographies provenant des collections du Centre d'histoire.
